Fixin' up the old quads and am wondering if anyone has replaced the old Butterfly style control switch (the ones that you turn) on a warn winch with the newer style rocker switch. Not sure if its just me, but I've gone through a couple of the butterfly style over the past few years...they just seem to fall apart. I've spoken to a couple of parts guys and they have said it should work, but they way they said it, didn't instill much confidence so I thought I'd see if anyone has actually done it. Also wondering if there's any place in CR or Courtenay that sells Warn parts besides the ATV dealers. Seems to me there used to be an off road shop in CR but can't find it in the phone book. Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Warn does make an upgrade kit to convert to the newer style switch. Here is a link to it, http://www.warn.com/atv/accessories/ATV-WinchUpgradeKit.shtml . As for another place to buy warn product's, I work at Lordco in C.R. and we are a warn distributor/repair center for warn. Also, if your talking about the same offroad shop i'm thinking of, he's no longer around. Hope this helps you out. Very Happy

Picked up the upgrade kit with the rocker switch today. Works great and simple to install...even for this electrically challenged guy!

Cheers
