|
|
I have Grizzly 700 (Just got it). I was out riding today (second ride on the new machine) and a smelt something funny. I stopped and looked underneath only to find engine oil pouring out of my new quad. I opened the oil check compartment and found a stick jammed into the dipstick area. It had dislodged the dipstick and oil was leaking out. I removed the stick and relaced the dipstick. After letting the engine cool down I checked the oil. It was just below the add line. I babyied the quad home. I just caught it in time before too much oil leaked out to ride.
Has anyone had this happen?
Does anyone have any tips to stop this from happing again? (Besides not riding over sticks)
I have a full set of body armour but I did not put the engine skid plate on because it does not leave me room for my plow mount.
Any suggestions would be helpful
Thanks

I have not had this happen, but some guys are using a zip tie to hold the dip stick down. You just have to use a new one when you check your oil. _________________ 2007 Grizz 700 riding on 27" OUTLAWS RIDE IT LIKE YOU OWN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
